Career One Stop offers a lot of information to you about different careers and can help you gather information that may help you begin to figure out your path.

At the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics you have access to information about the economy, occupations, career information, resources for students K-12, and more.

The above link gives you and your parents/guardians some information about job shadowing.  This can be a very useful way to help you decide on a career.

This link will take you to the Middle School grades 6-8 part of the Workforce Solutions web site. Here you can take an interest survey, learn about careers and the labor market.

O*NET is a source of occupational information. O*NET has a lot of resources available. 

  • Students can take the Interest Profiler assessment to help discover occupations that you may enjoy. 

  • If you already have some occupations in mind, go to My Next Move to learn more about it.

YouthRules! is an initiative to increase public awareness of Federal and State rules concerning young workers. Through the YouthRules! initiative, the U.S. Department of Labor and its partners seek to promote positive and safe work experiences that help prepare young workers in the 21st Century workforce. Content on the site includes know the rules, find support, news and resources, and teen work stories.

This link will take you to a page on USA.gov that has videos about different career fields.  Click a career field and then an area in that field.  Workers in the area you choose will tell you about what they do and what they have to know to be successful in their career.
